yes it is painful but the reason its painful isnt because of the hymen breaking. lots of gilrs dont bleed whn they frist have sex as their hymen has already been broken by playing sports, tampons etc... the reason its painful is that theres a 6(ish)inch object being forced up a passage that isnt used to anything that size up there(same general idea as to why childbirth hurts). sex may hurt for awhile until your vagina is streched enough for the penis to fix it without any pain but once you get to that point, its fun:)

I am more than sure this varies from person to person. And that there are other factors involved...such as the size of your partner, and how well lubricated you are. Just be sure that your partner takes it nice and easy, and that you are well lubricated. If there is any pain it should be minimal.
If it breaks through sex, yes, it will most likely hurt. Some girls worse than others.
But, I did gymnastics for 10 years, so I am sure that mine broke sometime during then, and it never hurt.
