I know I am unhealthy for my age, but how can I fix that?!


Question: OK, I am 12, and I am 5 foot four, and weigh about 155 pounds. I know I am not very healthy, but I dont look as big as you think I would be. Probably about 25 of it is on my butt, lol, and my mom is jelous that she didnt have a "full" one when she was my age. then I have a bit on my tummy, it accounts for about 6 pounds. But then I have buff calf muscles, I mean I run track and I am supper fast. But my most embarrasing feature is my inner thys, and I have stretch marks, My legs rub together when I walk, and chaff. I HATE IT. I have been in puberty for a while, and that accounts for some of my gaining of weight, but my friends, while I am eating salads for lunch, they are gulping down their greesy french fries, and they are half my size! It kills me and makes me hungry. I do a little Tae Kwon Do. Please DO NOT tell me I am fat, because you have never seen me. Just tell me some tips so I can be more happy with me and my body.

And could you tell me some :) exercises for the inner thys

You aren't fat, but slightly overweight. No big deal. You also have to realize that everybody is a built a different way. You might look great at that weight while somebody else doesn't. Muscle also plays a factor in weight.Try getting more cardio. You can do squats which should help tone that area. Also, try getting an excercise partner. It might help keep you motivated. You should feel good about yourself knowing that you are trying to be a healthy person.Good Luck!

I have a friend who works out 6 days a week and is still full figured. Turns out he has a medical issue.

Have you been to a doctor to check you out to see if you have a problem that would make you gain weight?

Just a thought.

ps. many many many people have stretch marks. It is normal.

if you want to loose some weight, cut back on sugar and carbs. b/c carbs/ white flour etc. turn into sugar after your body has processed it. that's great that you trying to resist the junky food like fries! but i know its really hard to do. try and only eat those things two or three times a week. it gives you something to look forward to, don't deprive yourself of that stuff. but don't over do it either. leg lifts and sit ups will help you get a firmer stomach. running can help w/ your thigh problem. but be careful, if you do specific exercises for your thighs, make sure your doing the right ones, b/c then your thighs will get muscular and they will appear larger. hope this helps!!
