Does this seem odd?!

Question: I have had cramps for the last few days. In addition, yesterday they were so bad that they made me nauseated! However, I am not on my period. Last saturday I had a egg white type discharge, but yesterday I had a clear gello type discharge. Has anyone encountered this before and was it normal?

I have an 8 month old and my periods have been abnormal since, but if they were normal it would be a week away.

The clear gello type discharge is a sign of ovulation process coming to an end and helps the egg pass through your fallopian tubes. Its a clear sign that your period will be 1-2 weeks from today.

Whilst ovulating alot of women do feel discomfort due to the increase of hormones / swelling of the reproductive system but the pain may less likely be a sign of an ovarian cyst which will most likely go away on its own.

It can take upto 2 years for your body to get back to 'normal' after giving birth and even then... what is 'normal'?

Don't stress it is 'normal' and is only a worry if the creamy 'egg white type discharge' which is your bodys own natural lubrication becomes a yellow/green colour or has an unusual odour - that would indicate thrush (candidis)

Congrats on bub!

My friend has been having those jelly type things in her underwear... all it means is that your period is coming :)

I don't remember it being after my daughter was born but I have had that type of discharge before. If I remember correctly.... it was a UTI or yeast infection, something like that. See your doctor and try drinking lots of water and cranberry juice. :0)

Call your OB and schedule an appt. I had similar (but not exact) symptoms and found that I had ovarian cysts - benign and nothing to worry about - and that was my diagnosis, as an example. I don't think that your symptoms will be correctly diagnosed on this site.

Best wishes!

it sounds like you might want to go see your ob/gyn and explain to the dr what is going on. Especially if you are having cramps that bad. You certainly could have all sorts of odd things going on, not necessarily awful things but fibroids, or an infection, or adenomyosis or something else even??

Good luck!
