How common or rare is it for women to have vaginal bleeding during pregnancy?!

Question: My period was a week late in January. A week BEFORE I got my period, I had intercourse with my boyfriend. (That was not my first time ever.)

Now my period is already 4 days late and I'm wondering if my period last month was really just some type of "bleeding" during pregnancy. So here are my questions:

1) How common or rare is it for women to have vaginal bleeding during pregnancy?
2) How much longer/shorter and stronger is bleeding compared to a normal period?
3) I have no pregnancy symptoms, except maybe for slight headache and I vomited once (due to too much food I believe), so is this just paranoia?

Please don't answer if you're not going to answer any of my questions. :)
