My first time...is it normal?!

Question: I had sex with my boy/friend for the first time one week ago.it was really painfull and unpleasant and I am still quite sore. Is this normal? Am starting to get a little bit worried. When will the soreness go away, will it pass by itself or should I go see a gynecologist?

You probably broke your hymen, which is normal. In some women, it does stay sore for a little while. Also remember, however, that ENOUGH lubrication is very important. If you are not aroused enough, it's not going to happen. If that's the case, you need to get your boyfriend to slow down and try some foreplay. Guys don't realize this is necessary, so you have to TELL them. Let him know what arouses you; be explicit about it. If you don't know yet (no, that doesn't make you weird), try different things, but DON'T let him penetrate you when you're still dry. Guys are ready for sex in about 30 seconds flat; women take longer than guys, and that's just the way we work. Without appropriate lubrication, it's going to continue to be sore; if you're aroused, it's going to be better for BOTH of you.

it will pass, it is extremely normal. give it a couple of more days. just keep drinking a lot and peeing.

I think it's normal. If he "broke you in" (broke your hymen) you probably will have had a bit of blood too.

I would be concerned if you still have pain even after a week. He may have torn some of the delicate tissues or bruised your cervix.

I'd go see your Doctor.

u have to take bath after your intercourse

Yes dear it is normal. The soreness shouldn't last to long. If you are at least 14-15, you should be seeing a gynecologist once a year anyway, very important. But, for this soreness, from your first time, its not an "emergency" so don't worry. Remember always practice safe sex!! :)

i believe women that see gynecologists have no self respect. how could you DO that? its so embarasing. ew.

but anyway, it is perfectly normal to still feel pain at this stage, however, if it does continue, you may want to see a doctor. even though its icky >.<

its normal, some chick above me said women who go to the dr have no self respect ?!?! are u stupid? u have to go to the doctor and if YOU dont u probly have mad std's thats sick....but yeah this is normal and it sucks i know =[ but it will go away
