Question: Are these the women on the news that cant ever have kids so they kidnap kids?
Did they get depressed?
Do they lose weight or gain weight after the surgery?
Im probably going to be in this situation. Im 14. I was just wondering about how I would be after the surgery.

I am sorry that you are facing this so early in life. I was in my 40's and had 1 child. I wish the doctors could find another way.
I will tell you that Idid feel depressed and wanted a baby really bad, even tho my son was 20yrs old. The doctors did not prepare me for that. Physically I felt awful. I felt like I was about 60years old. Each week I felt better. I don't know how they are taking your ovaries. Are they taking your uterus too?
Are they putting you on the pill? If they take your ovaries, vaginally, you will recover more quickly, plus you are much younger than I was.
You will not become one of those women that kidnap kids.
I did not gain weight after the surgery. After the six weeks of my recovery, I was able to go back to my exercise program with no problem.
I had everything removed because of fibroids and pre-cancerous cells in the cervix. Plus, there was a HUGE NUMBER of AUNTS, COUSINS and a grandmother with cancer on both sides. So the doctors decided to remove everything, rather than take the chance of anything reoccuring.
I am sure that you will be fine. Tell your Doctor about your questions and your fears. I wish I had known the questions to ask, before. Make your list and talk to them and MAKE them LISTEN and answer everything. YOUR PARENTS ARE PAYING THEM.
