Birthcontrol & endometriosis questions?!

Question: I have endometriosis and I am going to see my OBGYN tomorrow I was just hoping to get some advice on what were good birthcontrols or treatments for me....
Has anyone tried YAZ?? did work for you??
Or hormone therapy?
I was thinking of going drastic and having a hysterectomy but I just dont feel ready I am only 26.....
But I have had my endo since I was 11 and always in pain!!!!!

Any advice would help me out even if you dont have endo what birthcontrol do you use and why?? I have tried many but need one that will help with cramping if that exsists...Thanks :)

BTW --I just had baby girl #4 10 weeks a go and bled for first 4 weeks then 2 weeks later had HEAVY painfull period and now again...Having babies dont help it like they say it should!! And for a momma of a 7, 4, 20 mth, and a 10 week old I dont have time to be feelin icky!!!

I was diagnosed with endo last year October and pretty much believe that I had it all my life too as I had intense period cramping since I first started my period at 13 (I'm 26 now). The pain only became worse and worse throughout the years and it was horrible in the past year, I was in constant chronic pain.

Have you had surgery to diagnose and treat your endo? If you have had the surgery, what stage of endo do you have if I may ask?

I had the surgery to diagnose and they treated it (burned off the implants) there and then. My gyn put me on a low dose birth control pill which I'm taking continuously at the moment. It's called Microgynon 20 (I live in Australia) and so far it has been helping me, although at times throughout the month I get these moderate stabbing pains in my left ovary that almost feels like I have a ovarian cyst or like it's ovulation pains, so I'm going to see my gyn this Friday. This low dose pill has been good so far.

I would recommend however that you speak with your gyn for your options as he might be able to recommend which dose and brand of the pill would be suitable to your case.

Good luck and congrats on the little one :)

Hey I've been on almost every BC! The Patch, The Pill, The Shot, The Ring...lol

anyhow I am on Yaz now, and I LOVE IT! I don't have endo (well at least i haven't been diagnosed but i will be getting checked this week)...anyhow YAZ has been a blessing...i know about the cramps hun...so bad vicodin won't help..yup yup...but YAZ is good...go for it!
