I think I'm getting my period soon! Can Some girls please help me?!

Question: Alright, my stats are:
I've had underarm hair for about 3 months and pubic hair for about 1 year.
My breats have been developing for about 1 and a half years
I've had dischrage for about 1 year

So do any of you have any idea about when I am getting it?
And what it will be like? And just any other tips you can give me!
Thanks!

There is no way to tell exactly when you will get your period, but it will probably come soon. My pubic hair began to grow several months before I got mine, and my breasts began developing at age 9 (I got my period when I was 11). There is really no way to tell when you will get it--I got mine during recess in elementary school.

I can tell you that for the first year or so, I was really miserable about having it. I was one of the only girls in my grade that was menstruating, and it was a very sensitive topic for me. I was very self-conscious and worried that people could see the bulge of my pad in my underwear, had a lot of trouble with leaks, etc. You get over that kind of stuff eventually.

-You may absolutely hate your period at first, but don't worry--eventually it becomes such a normal, routine thing that it's as simple to handle as peeing

-Tampons are much more comfortable and convenient than pads, but should NEVER be worn overnight!

-You may want to wear a thicker, bigger pad at night time to prevent leaks

-Your period may be very irregular at first (you might get it once in December and not get it again until March)--for many years, even--but will eventually regulate itself with time

-You might experience light or heavy stomach and leg cramps before or during your period (my doctors had me on and off of different king of birth control pills to deal with this and other problems, but I do NOT recommend birth control pills for dealing with menstrual issues--they made me very depressed, nauseous, and over-emotional)

Sorry, but there's no real timeline to predict. It might come soon or it might be a year or more.

Usually your first period is light and takes you totally by surprise. You don't feel anything, but all of the sudden there will be a spot of blood in your panties. Sometimes it looks thick and brown, sometimes bright red. Both are normal.

When you're first starting, periods are usually not very heavy and there is no pain.

I would say, just based on my experience and that of close friends, you have at least 6 months...
It will probably not start heavy and what it is like is different for everyone. I have really heavy periods w/ bad cramping and pretty far a part but a lot of my gf's a way different so no one can predict that. Tips? If you're heavy do a pad and tampon together. Tampons are NOT scary they are a girl's best friend! Before you start (as in now) start carrying a pad od two with you. Just in case. Also Alieve is best for cramps its a miracle cure! Good luck girlfriend!

Menstruation varies from woman to woman...but most commonly occurs from the ages of 13-16. Sometimes you can get it earlier (like 11), or later (18+).

If you are very thin and athletic, your period will likely be later in coming. It seems that a certain amount of body fat is one of the triggers...usually when a girl hits about 90-110 lbs is when it comes. (PS-the body fat is a good thing, your period only comes when your body is physically ready to conceive a child, and that's just one of the factors involved in that)

From the developments you've noted though, it sounds as though you are close. (give or take 6 months maybe)

Unfortunately, I can't give you any warning signs to look out for....because my in my experience, I was 13 and walking home from school when I got mine. I had no cramps, no warning-nothing. It just came.

there is no way to predict. Ask your mom when she started, that may give you an idea. Everyone develops differently tho, so there is no way to know for sure.
