You have several options... You could try taking Ibuprofen. I'd recommend 800 mg of Ibuprofen every 6-8 hours or so. A heating pad placed in the most painful area can also greatly help - or you could opt to take a very warm bath with some peppermint oil in it - I've found that this can help with the aches and pains a great deal. If you're interested in going on birth control, the pill can drastically reduce period symptoms.

I also had severe premenstrual symptoms when I was your age... my mom actually let me stay home the first 2 days of my period every month. Through the years my period has gotten slightly less painful and I've found that the birth control pill helps a great deal to minimize the symptoms I experience. I'm on Yaz, which has 24 active pills and 4 placebo - most people who take it as directed only have a 2-3 day period. I actually take it continuously for 3 packs (no placebos), so I only have a period every 72 days and it only lasts 2-3 days. I do this with my doctor's blessing (it was actually her suggestion).

you can try soakin inespom salt they sell it and wal mart krogets cvs waltgreens and most stores. it should be over by the stuff for rashes and aches and pain creams

Hot water bottles help me (Y)

I suffer from sever cramping also. I have found that if I increase my water intake, use a heating pad, and just like all other muscle contractions(spasms) if you increase your potassium. Eat 3-4 bannanas a day if your stomach can handle them.

I agree with the Epsom's salts comment, it is said to help your body to release toxins, also I find Advil helps as well. Right now I am in the same boat and am really bloated feeling as well, yesterday my hands were just aching, I do believe from water retention. I try to limit salt intake and drink lots of fluids, I find green tea helps with the aches although I don't know how for sure why other then it is an other product that helps the body release toxins.

I recommend taking some midol for the pain and also take a warm bath the warm water will relax your muscles and then they wont hurt anymore that's what I do and it works every time I also recommend getting lots of rest and eating healthy foods like fruits
