What causes a vaginal infection?!

Question: I think I have an infection (clear, sometimes cloudy discharge - which looks and smells like.."you-know-what", and pain during sex). What causes this? Is there anything I can do in the future to prevent it? Also, what might my doctor do to help this go away?

Sorry for so many questions. I'm calling the clinic tomorrow morning but they're closed now =\

lot of things can cause a yeast infection...tight clothes...to drugs. Don't worry about it.
However do not have sex when you have a yeast infection, you can pass it to him only then it's called jock itch.
just go to the drug store and get some OTC stuff

Nothing wrong with a bubble bath...just don't douche or scrub it to often..

You can prevent it by not having sex. (unless your married)

are you on any prescription drugs, cause that will definitely cause one.
and are you changing your underwear daily?

If it is a yeast infection, it can actually be caused by it being too clean. If you wash down there a lot or use scented toilet paper or bubble bath, it can cause them. Antibiotics cause them most often though. You can either wait it out or get some Monistat... I would get it checked out though because if it smells, it might not be a yeast infection.

hold out on the sex 4 a while n c wht happns...culd b a yeast infection maybe b/c of the bubble bath...dnt really soap dwn there 2 much...certain fabrics of underwear (or there lack of)...& certain colors/die of underware(mostly drk colors)..hope this helpd

when i go down on my wife, she gets an infection
try not doing that
