Period question....?!
Question: I got my first period when I was about 11 years old. Now I am 22 years old. It never really made me have any questions before, but now I do. I guess it's just bordem. Anyways what exactly are the blood clots that pass when you have your period? Is it just blood clots,or is it the uterine lining? If your on birth control and lets say it is the uterine lining, would you have clots? Thanks alot!

they are blood clots. or rather bits of dried up blood that doesnt come out, until later. no, it is not ur uterin lining and yes, you would still have clots on bc.
It's just the lining of the uterus that would have helped retain a fertalized egg if that had occured. Since it didn't, it's expelled each month. Some people have more clots than others, and it's with or without birth control.
umm well im juss a teenager but i think its juss blood colts. and if ur on birth control i think that u would have clots but im not quite sure. if u worry more about later than talk to a doctor or a pshyciatrist.!! hopefully my opinons wil help!:)
