Is this normal? please help?!

Question: after being on the patch for 2 years i switched to the bc pill Lutera. ive heard spotting is common. ive been on it for about 2 months now and skipped my last period (by skipping the placebo pills and taking the next pack) not due for my next one for more than a week. last night i noticed a little bit of spotting when i wiped. it was blood red, now just tiny bits of brownish red spotting. 2 months into using it seems a little late for a side effect like that to start out of nowhere. is this normal?

I have this exact problem. Skipping the placebos could cause spotting relating to the skipped period. I've looked into other causes of spotting and they range from minor issues, like side effects of the pill, to endometriosis or infections. If it persists after your next period I'd get it checked out. Personally, I'm waiting until after mine to even talk about it to a doctor because I'm not sure if it's anything at all. Good luck

be careful some patch cause blood clod talk to your doctor it problem not safe to change

well its not all that great to skip periods. but spotting is pretty normal while taking birth control pills

You are probably spotting because you skipped your period by continuing the pills and no there is nothing wrong with this at all, however your body overpowers the hormones in the BC and says 'hey it's time already!' The best thing to do is stop taking your pills and have a regular period and then the following Sunday after the decent period (or whatever your start day is) you can start your pills back. I would reccommend a back up method though, just in case.
