Paxil and sexual side effects question...(women only please)?!

Question: ever since i've started taking paxil my sex drive has gone way down...its almost impossible for me to have an orgasm. if i dont take it today, do u think i wont have the side effects just for tonight? i took it yesterday morning, how long does it take to wear off?

I wasn't on paxil but zoloft would take my sex drive right away I know for a fact that when I went off it for a week the oragsim was 10 times better so now i only take it once a week. or less. sex is better than happiness

I know I am not a women but i am on paxil too and experienced the exact same thing when I started taking it. It does wear off after a while but according to the info sheet that came with my prescription Paxil is used to treat premature ejaculation too. I did ask the doctor when i first started taking it and he assured me that it was only temporary and to give it time. It worked. So I guess just be patient and if it doesnt wear off ask your doc about other treatment options.

same thing happened to me. skipping a day wont work, it will only make you feel weird. my sex drive eventually came back, hope yours does too. good luck

If you have took it for along time it takes weeks to get out of your body!!

probably takes at least 3-5 days to leave your system but then you'll have withdrawal symptoms, talk to your doctor about this, it is a common side effect and changing to a differrent drug can help......
