No period for over 7 weeks, not pregnant and Haemoglobin levels low?!

Question: My period usually comes every 5 - 6 weeks, but it is now 7 and a half weeks which is unusual. I am not pregnant, I am 100% sure of that. I went to give blood today and they wouldn't let me donate as my Haemoglobin level was borderline and they were being extra sure. They said nothing to worry about it may just be up and down at the moment and tomorrow it will prob be okay, but they took a blood test anyway. I thought anemia and low Haemoglobin levels came after heavy periods but I haven't had one for ages - is there a link to my low Haemoglobin count and my lack of period??

Both the low hemoglobin count and the late period could be caused by you being under alot of stress or run down and maybe getting sick (or anemic). (Or it could be random, alot of things cause late periods. Wait a week or two and see if it comes.) If you are worried, see a doctor/nurse just to make sure you are healthy, otherwise just make sure you eat healthy, drink plenty of fluids, get plenty of sleep, do relaxing activities that you enjoy frequently so you don't get too stressed out.
