If I join curves for a year, will my body get too used to the workout?!

Question: I am looking at different gyms and curves is my favorite so far. I like it b/c it's very simple, only women can join, and I tried it once and it was a great workout. I also like that at the one near me, the people are friendly.

I am considering different plans. The one year plan would be cheaper upfront. But I am concerned that I may experience the plateau effect where the work out gets too easy for me before the year is up--then I'd have to find something else to do AND be paying monthly for something that is not useful anymore.

I am also considering the 6 or 3 month plan. I don't think I would reach the plateau in 3-6 months and if it's a shorter time period i woudl tell myself "you better get your money's worth and go" but if it was a longer time period subscription, like a year, I may be prone to say "I'll do it later".

From what you wrote, it sounds like it'd be worth the extra money to sign a shorter contract. I've read that Curves is great if you are just beginning to work out, but it starts feeling limiting after a while. In my opinion, you should sign a 6-month contract and see how you feel after that.

Maybe as you get stronger, you'll be able to do more reps per minute.... thus increasing your workout.
