Whats wrong with me :(?!
Question: this is kind of gross,.... to me, atleast.
usually a week before and after my period, I experience this weird sort of discharge... I guess you could compare it to the whites of a raw chicken egg... kind of slimy, I guess. it would usually last for 2 or 3 days, but now its been going on for about a week.
is this not normal?

Yep its totally normal. Dischage gets heavier nearer your period and varies through-out your cycle. Ever notice how after your period you dont have that much discharge? Its just your hormones and body's way of keeping the vagina clean. The only time you need to worry if it changes colour (like yellow or green) has a nasty smell and or youre irritated/sore/itchy in that area. :) xx
oh and ps, you can always use panty liners to keep you feeling fresh when its heavier :)

Yes its just your vagina cleaning itself out.
It's totally normal. All part of those wonderful variations of discharge women get at different times of the month. It's actually good, meaning everything inside your system is working good. I know it's gross, but it means you're operating smoothly! If it gets to be too much, wear a panty liner.
