Question: Is it normal to have extreme fatigue during your period? Like where you feel you have lead in your bones. Also is it normal to have a headache off and on during your period?

unfortunately i think it is normal. during your period, your iron levels are low. low iron is also a cause of headaches. your body acts really weird during your period. but, if your symptoms seem abnormal, it would not hurt to just check in with your doctor.

fatigue is totally normal, i get like that sometimes... i hate it. i just go home and take a nap. haha... try some pamprin or something

hyrs

headache is probably normal, but the fatigue sounds extreme. You may have anemia. You should tell your doctor your symptoms and they can test you. If you have it, they'll put you on iron pills to help!

Yes it is normal, since I'm a guy i probably know less, but I've heard and read those symptoms.

yes, but if it's keeping you from work or school or from doing your regular things, talk to your doctor.

lol ya i really recomend vitamin b-12 it helps energy and makes u feel a lot better u can find it anywhere

Yes it is. It's h*ll to be a woman sometimes!!! Hormones tear one down fast and hard.

yes all normal.

I'm not sure how extreme you are talking. My doc. told me to take multi-vitamins because your menstrual cycle will drain you body of them. That might help. If it's to the point you can't hardly function, you should see a doc.! Good luck!... headaches are normal :)

i know i do
(im 14)

Fatigue that bad sounds unusual and like something you should talk to a doctor about. I've never heard of the headache (during periods.)

Yes, it is normal to feel fatigued while menstrating, b/c your body is going through hormonal changes. Every woman has different symptoms while menstrating, but if you have concerns consult your physician. Also, check out this website has it offers symptoms and causes for things that you may be experiencing: http://www.cnn.com/HEALTH/library/DS/003...
I hope this helps....

YOU are certainly and most definitely correct. This is normal. Now the lead part isn't. If I were you, I would certainly consult with a trusted physician. You need definitive answers to your concerns and NOW!!! Try looking at two of my favorite websites below.
