A glimpse inside my mind?!

Question: So when a girl has her period...its really an unfertilized egg coming out right? gosh, all that blood for something so tiny! anyways...so when our period comes...is that kinda like a miscarrage. The baby that wasn't born? And also we DO come from an egg! So does that make us part lizard too?

Part lizard? LOL. I come from a proud family of ostriches.

No, it does not.

You're so silly. No, we're not part lizard.

WOW...
thats all i have to say
lol

Humans aren't part Lizard.

oh dear. have you gone to health class?
lizard? my lord!
and no... its also your uterine lining, not just an egg. that's why there is blood.
and a miscarriage involves a developing fetus to die.. if the egg wasn't fertilized by a sperm.. then it was by no means a miscarriage.
stop skipping health class!

** edit.. its NOT like a chicken egg! so there is NO yolk! you deff. should have talked about the menstrual cycle in health if your 14. don't think of it like a chicken egg or reptile egg. its a CELL. and yes, typically the egg comes out a little before your period but it soo little, you dont notice it. that sticky stuff is discharge darling. its your body cleaning itself out. this is what the egg will usually be released in

the egg is not a baby without fertilization from sperm. the egg is just like a carrying case to develop in. then all that blood is the lining in preparation for a baby if concieved.
maybe we are part lizard

so if u think that when u eat eggs (the ones from chickens) its chicken miscarrage!

It's not a miscarriage since the egg wasn't fertilized. It's called an egg but it really isn't the same. So no, we are not part lizard.

The blood is from the uterus draining. it's not just an egg.

and we are not part lizard. that's an egg outside of the body.

It's not a miscarriage unless the egg was fertilized. All the extra blood is from what was stored just incase the egg was fertilized and it was needed to help protect the little fetus. It doesn't make us part lizard. I believe all mammals come from eggs.

It doesnt make you a lizard. Its not a miscarriage.

That egg is just a cell until fertilized, not a baby.

The blood isn't the egg coming out - it's the lining of your uterus being shed. A period is *sort of* like a miscarriage - but for a miscarriage, there would have to be a baby - and unfertilized egg is not a baby.

Nope. Not part lizard.

The egg does come out, but because it is not fertilized it is not considered a miscarriage. The blood is the lining of the uterus shedding as there is no fertilized egg that will grow there. The eggs that make us up are different from what makes other species up.

since the egg isn't fertilized a period has nothing to do with a miscarriage, it could however be viewed as a missed opportunity to concieve... and no, we are not part lizard though if you trace back far enough we likely came from the sea and could jokingly be compared to a fish

K, dude all that blood is not from the egg itself, your body makes a layer of flesh inside your uterus and then it dissolves into blood and comes out. And yes we kind of come from eggs, but we are still mammal because we do not lay eggs then kids come out of them. And why would you say part lizard?

K I'm not entirely sure you are that old.

I agree with "I love New York" and wanted to add that the egg actually comes out earlier than your period. It is when you have a thicker, sticky discharge. That is the unfertilized egg coming out.

Yes, please study in science and health, you are quite confused about reproduction of all species.
