What treatment method are you using for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)?!

Question: Today I found out I have PCOS. My doctor has prescribed a birth control pill (Loestrin 24 fe). Did your doctor do the same or use another method. I plan on googling the info just wanted to hear personal experiences thanks.

My doctor uses a combination of birth control (Yaz) and Metformin. She mentioned another pill that we might try that's fairly new, but I don't remember what it is. Good luck. I'm putting a great resource site at the bottom of this. It's actually a message board but it has a lot of great information.

I have pcos well i had. i went on birth control 4 4months and stopped. Later on i got normal periods. Then i dicided like birth control and stayed on them.

they put me a drug that put me throught menopause dont ddo it, didnt work...started with an L,....cant remember, but i did notice that the depo provera shot made them worse, i think even caused them, stay away from that. just do low dose stuff

well, my sister has that. they don't have her on birth control. they have her on some other medicine to help her loose weight and help her get her periods become regular again. hope this helps.
