Is 13 an appropiate age to wear a tampon?!
Question: I'm 13 and I started my period at around 12 and I'm wondering if I'm at an appropiate age to wear a tampon. I friend says you shouldn't wear tampons until you lose your virginity, is that true? Thanxx=]

You can wear a tampon at any age. I guess it's your own opinion if you don't want to wear one until after you lose your virginity, but I have never heard that before. I know when I was your age....about 20 years ago...me and my friends wore them whenever we went swimming.
Just make sure you stick it in far enough so you can't feel it. Also you can use KY EZ gel to help you get the tampon in the first few times. After awhile it will become easy. Also, make sure to change the same as you change a pad...about every 3-4 hours.
that's kind of funny. Your friends that is. Whenever you're comfortable wearing a tampon is a good time to start.
no its not true. but it does take some getting used to. the correct age to start using tampons is when ever you are ready.
Well, this is all up to you. Yes, it is completely safe and appropriate. Using a pad is definately not convenient. But the virginity thing, it's based on your own beliefs. Everyone has different thoughts about this but personally, I don't think that would could...only intercourse.
im 14 and i started wearing tampons when i was 13. it really depends if you are comfortable wearing them or not. as for your friend i dont think that is right at all. its just what you feel comfortable doing. But yes i think u can start wearing them. :]
what ur friend says is not true... u can wear a tampon just remember not to wear it for more than 4-6 hours... ive never worn one but i just know that!

duh its fine! tampons were made to wear! what can it do to you b4 virginity???? give u cancer and the boys dick is gonna prevent a cover? no its completly fine!!! there mainly 4 sports and kids do the sports grown ups? not so much! relax! whe ever you start u can wear tampons!

Defiantly i started wearing tampons when i was 11.
But only use it during your period.

my mom told me that because she thought it was true. but it's not. my cousin told me it wasn't (her mom, my mom's sister had told her the same thing), and she let me use one of her tampons so we could go swimming. i was 12 when i started my period, and 13 when i first started using tampons.
hhahaaha! any age is appropriate to wear a tampon as long as u remember to take it out and dont leave it in for more than 8 hours! good luck ;)
I am 13 and yes....i wear a tampon!! they r way more comfortable!!! you can wear them at any age really!

Its safe to use tampon but i never use them for the fact that my mom told me the same taht your friends told u so i belived it lol. Later i found out it wasnt true by my doctor.

i think any age is acceptable to wear one. its doesnt matter if your a virgin or not.
I've been wearing tampons since I was 11,so I'm sure you'll be fine.You certainly don't have to lose your virginity to wear tampons.Good luck.
