Is it safe to use hand lotion as lube?!

Question: We used Cetaphil hand/body lotion. Just once. It feels great, but we want to know if its safe to use it often instead of the regular lube.
[We got really horny but we forgot to bring equipment so we just used what was readily available. And before someone screams "pregnant", fyi I am on birth control and he pulled out.]

It could be ok just once, but be careful as it can cause irritation or vaginosis. As for all the people screaming PREGNANT, she is on the birth control pill. Do you think you need to wear steel armour and 6 condoms as well ?

Umm no its not. Read the back of the lotion bottle. Its for external use only.

NO

I am sure that the package says for external use only

... Infectous material

"and he pulled out"....that doesnt work :)

no! you will get an infection!

Most products say for external use only. Use your judgement.

if you due it to much, your dick will absorb it and swell up like a water balloon. this is not fun... at all... so its fine as long as you dont do it to much or it could damage his penis.

no no no no no never use lotion as lube!!

p.s. pulling out=not smart.

No way! In time, you could peel like a snake!

I'm surprised that didn't burn .. It's for external use only.

Also, the "pull out method" is completely fake, and doesn't work.

use lubricants that are made specially for sexual purposes..hand lotions would irritate your vagina..and you could get really sick.

NO. You should ONLY use things that are already recommended for use. If you use something that's not known for use, then you could possibly hurt yourself. Infections, diseases, and many other things can go wrong by using something that's not meant for that. ._.

By the way, pulling out doesn't mean crap. Men ejaculate most the semen into you before they climax.

Yes, it is completely safe, I use it all the time, KY is too expensive these days.

This has nothing to do with your actual question...but just an FYI you can still get pregnant!
Anyways....Cetaphil is a really gentle lotion...so it should be fine...the problem with lotions are they dry up sooner than lubricants.....so it can cause pain and irritation...but hey...whatever floats your boat!

What? hahahahahaha NO!!!!!!!!!!

You'll prob burn your insides! TEE HEE!!

i wouldn't risk the possible infection/irritation/reaction from using a product that is meant to be used externally, internally.

Buy some lube and carry it in your bag at all times.

Well, first of all, "pulling out" is in no way shape or form a method of birth control. And while you may be on the birth control, that won't protect you from disease.

Now, about your original question. Many hand lotions have an oil base. It's not the best thing to use as a lubricant. You want something that is water soluble so it washes away easily. Best bet, just buy a small bottle of lube at the pharmacy and keep it in your purse for just such emergencies.

i agree with Amanda

No it's not safe at all, you might want to dousch with some warm water just in case you get an infection.... If you haven't yet thats lucky for you!!! I would only use lubes that are made for "down there" Sorry if you get some pretty rude comments about this... I learned from personal experience ;) good luck

I would say no. Sexual lube is usually a water based product. And as far as the pull out method and birth control. You probably know that's not a guarantee, plus there is always the chance of STD's. I hate to be a downer but those are the facts.

Only for sex underneath the armpit. (do not shave for better sensation)

Good Luck

I would say that lubriderm or cetifil is a pretty safe bet compared to other fancy lotion. Its usually for sensitive skins. If you havent had any problems, (rashes, itching, etc... it should be okay. But maybe just remember the KY next time....because no one should have to squeal like a pig.

Not a Good Idea. Read the label. Sometimes Lotions have ingredients in them that can cause some pretty ugly problems. I don't recommend them for that type of use.

it isn't. It breaks condoms and it's not good for the inside of your body. Go to a drug store and get real lube (that feels great too). If you're embarrassed you could buy it online. Good job being protected!

no you cant use that inside . its for external use only.. try come just finger your self first or get him the jerk off on top of your vagina then rub it in .its the best lube you can get

NO

Only for anal.
