I'm cracking up at some of the answers your getting and how little some women really know about their bodies!LOL First of all...Relax, your OK! This is normal! A few days after your period ends you will start to have a thick, sticky discharge. As you approach your ovulation day the discharge becomes heavier, thin, and clear like raw egg-whites. That is called fertile cervical fluid. Sperm can only live in fertile-quality cervical fluid. It can last for several days before ovulation and dries up immediately after ovulation. The smell developes as it sits on your underwear. Just wear a light day panty liner and change it more often and you won't notice a smell. A yeast infection discharge is much thicker, white and curd-like. Like cottage cheese. It causes intense itching and burning that will drive you insane, of which you did not mention. A bacterial infection is thick and yellow/green in color with a bad oder. Also with burning and itching. Hope this Helps!!

You are, of course, free to chose what you think is the best answer, but you didn't mention you had just finished your period...you did mention that the discharge has a really foul odor which is a sign of infection. I would definitely contact a physician before I just brushed this off as normal. Report It

  • It's a yeast infection, go to a doctor.

Dont worry, you might have a yeast infection like thrush. You can get some canesten duo at the chemist or see your doctor. It will clear up after that. Untill you go, maybe wear a pantyliner so you feel more comfy?

    Hope you feel better soonx

You need to see a Dr. . It could be an infection.Don't mess around asking on answers.

If it smells, you probably have bacterial vaginitis. Your doctor will look at it under a scope, and then prescribe you a vaginal cream that will take care of it within a few days.

Make sure you wash and change clothes after exercising, wipe from front to back, and rinse really good after showering. It is just an overgrowth of bacteria. Very common. Mostly happens when you either don't wipe right, or don't clean right away after exercise...

    it can be a infection

Get a tube of over the counter cream for yeast infections and it should clear up.

If it has a bad odor then it's a type of yeast infection. You can go to the doctor or you can try one of the many yeast infection medications on the market. Also increase your intake of good bacteria helps with yeast overgrowth...yogurt, buttermilk (yuck), vinegar.

If it smells really bad it might be an infection of some sort. To be sure, you should check with your doctor. Don't get creams from the drug store though because you aren't sure of what it is yet, and the creams might be for a different type of infection and just make it worse.

If there's a foul odor, I would definitely check with a doctor before you use anything over the counter. You might have something different than a yeast infection, and using and over the counter antifungal like Monistat could make it worse, and it can also contribute to fungal resistance. So, in short, the best thing to do is visit your doctor or gynecologist so they can make a proper diagnosis and prescribe a proper treatment.
