If the pain is made worse by breathing then it is very unlikely it is your heart- more likely to be related to your lungs, muscular pain, pain from inflammation on the cartilage in your sternum, or possibly just acid from your stomach (as the oesophagus goes up through the chest)
Still better to get it checked out as it is obviously causing you some distress.

Anxiety, gass, pulled muscle, or hunger might be causing it.
If your a young woman don't worry you are the least likely to have heart problems.
But it can't hurt to get a check up.

You could have heart burn. Do you eat a lot of spicy foods? Do you eat a lot of fatty foods? An excess of any of those things could cause heart burn.

You also could have a mild case of angina, which is also known as chest pain. Chest pain can be caused by a number of things. Anxiety being one of them. If it reamins constant and painful then you need to see your docotor. There are medications you can take to help you.

Stop playing guessing games and go and see your GP.
