Ladies' restroom construction question (for the ladies only, please)?!

Question: Here in western countries we've often heard women's complaints about the long lines in the ladies' rooms especially in arena-like venues. Oftentimes a lady or two will even enter the men's room to avoid the lines. A big reason seems to be that toilets and stalls take up a lot of room compared to the multiple urinals found in the men's room.

In Japan I have noticed that in the ladies' rooms, instead of toilets, they have porcelain urinals on the floor that a lady is to straddle. Now, in Japan they still have stalls housed around the urinals. I wonder, though, if it would be feasible for us to build ladies' rooms that contained these floor urinals without those stalls around them and placed the urinals comfortably close together in order to fit more in the given area. In effect, it would be like the urinals in the mens' rooms (without stalls), only it would be on the floor. Of course, you would still have a few toilets and stalls there too.

Ladies, would you use such a restroom?

It's a good idea to stop the problem of lines forming and women retreating to the mens bathroom. i've been in clubs and have seen many girls just go in there (and not to just make out with guys).
But it would be very difficult for people in the west to adapt to this method. Look at the answeres in here "ewww". We are a proud and spoilt nation.
If we had no choice and this would become a standard bathroom in the future to shorten lines we would have to adapt.
I think in one respect it is a good idea but women also like their privacy.

no, ewwww, i would not, unless there was door and walls, i like to go to the restroom privately

No.

No. Being used to privacy in North America, I would NOT use a Japanese-style squat urinal unless it were in an enclosed space. I've been to Japan and have used those urinals, and it's not a very comfortable thing to do (unless you're used to it, I suppose), and I especially wouldn't want anyone to be able to see me.

hell no!

NOPE. I hate to say it but I only pee in a squattin position if i am camping, any way if a gal were wearing pants that type of toilet wouldn't really work would it?

No, women in America would not use "squatties."

Women go to the bathroom in groups, we can't help that other chicks copy us. Besides the walls don't take up too much room it's the fact that some girls take longer in the bathroom than others, and we wash our hands, a lot of men don't.

no way, woman like there privacy

No way!! that is the grosssssssssest thing ever. Girls like more privacy than guys! And we have more personal reasons to want that privacy. And no way would most of us EVER consider that, under any circumstances!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BAD IDEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No. I used something similar in Milan once, and it was annoying. I was afraid of stuff splashing on my shoes (YUCK!), and it "flushed" by sending a stream of water down the wall behind you. If you didn't get out before you flushed, you ended up getting splashed.
My sister-in-law found out the hard way. Thankfully, I heard her yell, and was able to avoid it myself.

i dont know if i just dont get it or if this really is a bad idea---i dont want to pee all over my feet and have other girls urine splashing onto me! how am i supposed to pull down my pants and pee on the floor??

I would probably not b/c i have problems with my body and i would like feel like people are watching me or something. I dont know how guys do it...call me weird, i dont care...i dont even like wearin swim suits in front of people and you want me to pull down my pants and pee in front of them...Thanx for caring tho, i think... =)

No way.

I have to agree, that idea stinks. We have a need for space and privacy.
