I used to get it every month, when I was ovulating (and that was diagnosed by my doctor) and i used to get it at differnet times of the month (and my periods we're irregular - so maybe that was why ?)

It was very simular to period pain but only on one side, it used to be a really heavy dull ache, that would even on occasions make my leg ache.

Hot water bottle and pain killers would usually do the trick

that used to happen to me...

everything was fine, but, if you continue to worry, i know you don't want to hear it but go to the doctor

that happened to me once.. but it was an intenseeee sharpppp pain for a few hours.. so i rushed to the doctor and found out my ovary had popped... probably not your case

How do you know it's your ovary? That's strange. When I get a stomache ache I do not say "ouch, my ovary hurts", or "ouch my liver hurts".

I get it too. Sometimes its an ovarian cyst but I'm on a new pill and havent' had them since. I do still get the pains, they almost stop your heart and then go away. It hurts pretty bad. My doc told me it is probably the egg getting stuck in the overy and then it passes. It could also be endometiosis. I'm going in next month to check for that. Good luck.

That kind of pain usually coincides with ovulation. When you ovulate, a mini cyst forms and then pops, releasing the egg.

It happens to me every month! No big deal.

I think that what you are talking about is quite normal for young women to experience. You are right about talking with a dr. about it, because they will be able to talk you through things and be able to determine if it is more serious. But, many women experience a sharp pain about mid-way through their cycle. I know that it can be very painful, so while you are waiting for your appointment to arrive, take some IB Profin and try not to worry.

I once had an ovarian cyst. It felt similar to what you are saying, and was more painful right before my period. I went to the doctor and got and ultrasound, and the cysts were benign. They ended up going away by themselves in a few months. Apparently they are activated by hormones which is why they are more painful at different times of your cycle.

I drank Pao Darco tea which is a herbal remedy good for, among other things, ridding your body of cysts. I'm sure there are lots of other herbal remedies you could try out. Go to a good health store and ask the clerk and I'm sure you'll find something to help your body rid yourself of them!

Good luck!

I have the same symptoms, i haven't talk to a doctor about it yet. But i heard once if that happens you might not be able to have kids

Hey my gf had a similar problem and she used to feel it about a week before her periods. The doctor told her that it could be because of her stress levels. She started doing yoga and stuff and now she says that its gone for good
