Is it okay to take tylenol while on yaz?!

Question: I can't seem to get a clear answer on this and I'm cramping really bad from pushing back my period last month. So is it okay to take tylenol while on yaz? How about Advil? My doctor said that frequent use of advil was a bad idea?

Advil or Motrin is not good because it is ibprofin which tends to react with your hormones and may decrease the effectiveness of the pill. Aspirin interferes with blood clotting (why you cant have it if you are having a tooth pulled.) so that would not be a good choice either.Tylenol should be ok cuz its acideminifen (spelled wrong.) a much milder medicine. Bottom line, be careful when combining medications.

Frequent use of any painkiller isn't a good idea; the doctor was just making sure you weren't overusing. But if you have bad cramps, taking Tylenol or Advil, or Midol (great for menstrual cramps) is fine as long as you follow the instructions on the bottle.

Tylenol is usually fine with anything. BUTTTT, you should definately talk to your doctor and follow his advice. Try webmd if you are someone who refuses to talk to a doctor. This is not a good place to ask for medication advice. Try talking to your local pharmacist also, they will know.
