My sister has been on anti depressants for 1 and a half years, she is 17 now.?!

Question: I think she might have stopped taking her pills...does anyone know what i'm going through? It's not fair I have no one to talk to. For some reason I have this feeling, that she isn't going to be around when we're grown up. Any help?

I am also on some medication for depression. A report just out says they do not work. It was a long Finnish study. I'am beginning to belieive them. Just remember anti-depressants really do not make you feel all that well. The Benzines will make you feel teriffice right away; however they are very addictive.

try talking to her and see why shes so depressed.then try and help her and let her know your there for her. hope this helps :)

shes only 17 and on anti depressants???? why? shes to young to be depressed.......umm maybe try asking her to go to the mall with ys have have a girls day out and just enhoy life and talk about stuff.....ya know..

There's no reason to be afraid of...or fear something...Just simply...have an open conversation to her...how young are you anyway? "The Lord is my light and my Salvation, whom shall I fear..."

Just simply Listen...have a patient, approachable, and passionate heart...to be with her most of the time...talk to her in your kindest and real (Just be yourself!) way.

Honestly, I've already been through a lot of childhood pains, hurts, and anger...and it's as if their gonna kill me...that up to now I'm still coping for it...but as years passed by I never had taken any pill or medical transcriptions myself...and it all goes well...I'm 24yrs. old now, and I've learned a lot of things from those traumatic and painful experiences I've been all my life...to the point that I even attempted to take my own life(Suicidal thing)...but Conscience Speaks! Good thing we Filipinos have practiced having "Close family ties."

Advice her that she must take time to know herself well...so she could bring back the real her (hope the jolly and down to earth person) for she knows herself well...also take time to pray for her...and the real God-fearing and God-loving or faithful person she is...(Hope so...) maybe God is working on you to be the instrument of her inner Healing...because God is known to be a great Healer Himself...

Try to have an open communication with the rest of your family...

Thanks for the question...that's definitely a great one...hope the answer helps...c",)...(P.S. Gave her a Morning Smile everyday! or maybe a Warm Hug!)
