You'll know. At first it might be a question, because it can start of as just a little. But then the blood flow starts up and you'll be sure about it. Use a pad today incase the flow does start up.
Trust me, you'll know.
usually there is a tint of red in the toilet or it is all red and you may have some brownish redish stuff in your underwear

if you mean menstruation , it can last from 2-3 days to 6-7 days, it can be abundent or light . you may have cramps , headaches, and mood swings . i think you know it is bloody, the red kind .
Well, have you every had any bloody discharge before? If this is the first time you have experienced this then yes I would say you have started your menstural period. You will probably have cramping, pain in your lower back, and just really not feel good. It should last for approx. 5-7 days.
If you are not sure you started... then you probably didn't start. You will have no doubts!
It is time for you to talk with your Mom and/or the school nurse.
In addition to dealing with the discharge,t here are other things you now need to know and UNDERSTAND.
Don't be scared. We all were where you are.
You could be spotting brown or red blood. Just a little or a lot.
