Can someone please help me..its about my daughter?!

Question: my 5 yr old daughter has complained here vagina hurts. we took her to doc 3 times now including yesterday and they all say it looks like the folds are irritated and she probably wipes wrong .

her symptoms are... her area gets red her and there and then its fine for a day or two. sometimes the outside skin looks overly dry. we have changed soap, detergent, different kindof underwear. yesterday when i brought her it was a little red , today it is really red. is this skin, or a uti or yeast or possibly strep b? they have yet to run a test !

My daughter gets the same thing. She is 5 years old too. I took her for a urine test to make sure she didn't have a UTI and it was clear. Its just the way she wipes. When it occurs I usually just get in the tub and show her again and again how to wipe. To sooth it I use diaper rash cream and I use a baby powder that has cornstarch in it. It usually clears up and she gets better but if she gets lazy with the wiping it tends to happen again. Dont freak out. Its something pretty simple. Good luck

Im going with a UTI/rash. She prob isnt wiping well causing the redness and infection. Try using Vaseline on there.. Give her a warm bath and see if that helps.

sounds like poor hygiene from not properly cleaning herself

Besides vaseline you can also try A&D ointment. Good luck with her tests!

Thats what happened to my cousin who is 4 years old before she she got her period that same year. she had her period at age 4!

my daughter is 5 and we have run into the same thing. I totally have come to believe its from her not wiping good while she's at school.(in a hurry or whatever.) I told her that she was making her private red..and giving herself a painful rash b/c she wasnt wiping the "peepee" off of herself. then when I told her she would "stink" ...that was about all it took...lol we havent had this problem for a while now.

bepanthen cream after shower. sorbeline and peanut oil from pharm. unless allergic to penunts. there r also so many NONsoaps avail. try the QV range. also. even try moistutising wipes at the toilet instead of paper. talk 2 pharmacy.

maybe uti ,for the redness use Balmex , good luck

You need to talk to your daughter to make sure that no one is messin with her....Have there been any other symptoms....keep an eye out for her to withdraw from ppl or start using the bathroom or start having problems in school.....It could be that someone is messing with her if there is nothing medically wrong.

It sounds like a soap or shampoo maybe...also what do you clean your tub with? My daughter ad a similar reaction and we found out it was from the cleaner i was using to clean the tub...also...just as a precaution, have you thought about sexual abuse?? I worked at a Pediatric office for 11 years and i have to ask you to make certain that isn't the problem...please don't use Vaseline on her...it will make it worse, try some desitin and make certain she is wiping good and getting herself dry when she pee-pees .. if she doesnt..this can cause yeast infections..did the doctor order a urine test to check for uti?? I doubt it's strep b...she would be very very sick with a high fever at this point if it were. I hope she feels better soon..Good Luck and i hope i helped.

maybe, a kidney infection? i have it, i had one at 7... and ya know, that couldn't be ur little child's period at age 5.!!
well.... wait for the doc,.... they will do what is needed

good luck with ur little girlyyyy
