Womens question (bit gross)?!

Question: OK this is a long story lol

-thought i had thrush so i was using the creme. the redness and itching has gone now BUT i have a slight discharge

-i had a biopsy in colposcopy quite a while ago and i got an infection with a heavy, strong smelling odour

-the discharge i have now has the same odour BUT it is not heavy at all.

could i have an infection? i can't see the Dr till next week-and my period is due so is it worth going to see him in case he wants swabs???????

thanks!!!!!!!

There are other infections along the same sort of lines as thrush which produce a smell. You'll probably need a course of antibiotics to clear it up. Usually they like to do a swab to make sure they are treating you for the right thing. Try to get to the doctors before your period starts - you could get a phone appointment for a prescription and see the nurse for the swab if necessary.

It's best not to leave vaginal infections to fester, they never go away by themselves and only get worse in time.

yes
try and get an eariler appointment with you doctor i.e tomorrow

I would seek medical advice as soon as possible. Recurrent infections are not healthy for you. You could have multiple medical complications including death if gone untreated. You may need to be seen in the emergency room or a first assist.

im kinda having the same problem. except mine either smells a week before or a week after my period. and it only lasts a few days. but it smells horrible!!! and mine is kinda a waterey discharge.

it is deffinately worth it, even if he wants swabs you really should something is wrong for sure!
