Don't stop your pills unless the doctor specifically tells you to. There are hormones in the pills and there is a reason they need to be prescribed by a doctor. Hormones affect every part of your body, including your brain. A lot of women take the Pill lightly, when in reality, it is a drug that affects the chemical balance of your body. Good luck!

If you stop taking your pills, I have one word of advice for you. You'd better let your husband or boyfriend know because it would not be fair to them if you got pregnant.

Stoping the birth control pills won't help you get any better. Anti-biotics alter the effectiveness of the birth control pill making it less effective, not the other way around.

Is this a yeast infection? They can be caused by many things, like high blood sugar and even certain types of soap.

The best thing you can do is finish your medication and if it's still not better, then try going back to the doctor.

I've had a bacterial infection before. The doctor told me to stay on the pill (Cyclessa) and use all the medication for the bacterial infection until it's gone. If I still had problems after the medication is all gone, call her. Medicines to fight infections aren't like medicines to fix aches and pains. Sometimes the infection will get a little worse before it gets better. The important thing is to use the medication until it's all gone or as long as the doctor tells you to use it. Your bc pills will not effect a bacterial infection. Maybe you should find a new doctor who is more personable and can better explain things to you.
