Hi, problems with breats at your age are unusual. Over 40's+ can have problems with lumps etc which are a health problem.
You are at an age where you can walk into your local doctor and ask to see the nurse. You do not need an appointment.
You are also at an age whereby you are developing physically and emotionally and discovering your body. So you may notice things you have not found as apparent before. Lumps can be harmless, but you need to be re-assured. If you suffer from this not knowing, then you only prolong the relief which wil be caused by getting checked out.
You must see someone. Call NHS direct for advise over the phone. It is confidential 0845 46 47.
You may be worring about nothing. But you need to get re-assurance.

well we aren't dr.s and the only way for you to get peace of mind is to see your dr. You are quite young for breast cancer but that doesn't mean its impossible. Please go see your dr.

you MUST talk to your mum about this - please. At your age, it is highly unlikely that this is anything to worry about but you must always get a lump checked out - wherever it is on your body. Is there a school nurse or a teacher you can talk to?

Why wouldn't you talk to your doctor or your parents? If it's breast cancer, you need to have it taken care of; with an early discovery, the chances of it being cancerous or deadly is slim. Please don't let pride be the deciding factor in whether you live or die.

It's unlikely to be anything serious at such a young age, but without getting it checked by a doctor you won't know for sure. Not knowing is worse than knowing. Why on earth won't you see a doctor?

If you refuse to talk to your doctor or parents how else do you think we can advise you? Anyway, the chance that it is anything sinister at your age is extremely low.

if your due your period your breasts can feel lumpy and sore, but if not (Iknow u dont want to hear it) u do need to see a doctor or ask your mam. It doesnt mean u have cancer it could be a cyst or something simple and especially since your so young there is not much chance of it being cancer. Have u any other problems with it, like discharge from the nippple, or puckering around the nipple? is is sore? Go to www.mayoclinic.com and read about all the different small problems it could be just to put your mind at ease. 98% of lumps are not cancerous so dont worry, just get it looked at

There is a chance that it is a cyst. Women have them all the time. If you still have it after you've had your period, you must see a doctor. Chill out if you are worried about it cause your doctor is a man. You can request a female doctor.
Trust me. Seeing a doctor is a lot better than leaving it up to your imagination.

i agree with the others about talking to your mom/doctor. what if it was cancer? then you have to do something about it... ASAP.

it's probably a cyst, though the location is a bit weird (they're usually deeper down/near the base of the breast, more to the side). cysts tend to be painful, but they're usually squishy. you can move cysts around under the skin too.

you should take some responsibility for your health, you're the only one who can. please see your doc.

its probably nothing!you're still growing and along with that you get a lot of lumps and bumps popping up all over the place!plus, you'd be the youngest ever person to be diagnosed with breast cancer! I bet if you have a feel around, you'll find more lumps which are exactly the same, the media has created a big paranoia from getting cancer off everything!!!!

I know you've said not to tell you to talk to your doctor, but I think you should, just to put your mind at rest.
It's really ok going to see them sweety, they've seen everything and worse a million times over!!It is completely confidential too so your parents wont find out.You could even go and see a different doctor at your practice, or even at a different surgery as a temporary patient so you'll never have to see the person again!Either that, or call the nhs direct helpline, the number is: 0845 4647 if you're in the uk (i dont know about any of the other countries!), and they'll tell you what to do!

You'll be fine, I'm sure. We all get scares like that!
Good Luck

At your age it is extremely unlikely to be anything too serious...more likely to be something like a cyst. However, like it or not, I am going to suggest you have a word with your Mum and see the doctor as ANY breast lump needs to be assessed promptly. Nobody on here, (including me, a nurse with years of experience in women's health including breast care) can give you a diagnosis or a definite answer as to what this is.
I know you say you won't talk to them but you are only going to drive yourself mad worrying if you don't get this seen to. Please don't be scared, speak to your Mum....she will help and support you.

Well, you should keep a close eye on the lump, and any changes happen, apart from dissappearing, then you should contact your GP or doctor. Better safe than sorry. It may be scary going to see a doctor, but they are there to help you, not to make things worse!
However, you should see a doctor sooner rather than later to get it cleared.
Hope this helped, and I wish good luck.

What do you want us to tell you? If you won't talk to your doctor or parents, what chance is there of a diagnosis. You are very young for it to be cancer and it probably isn't. I say probably; I can't possibly know. I have had breast cancer in each breast and it was only through having it diagnosed very early that I am talking to you today. Doctors have seen millions of people's breast, there is nothing special about yours. Now go and get yourself checked out.

We sometimes get lumps and bumps and tender patches around period time

My daughter found a huge lump when she was about 17 - goodness knows how she hadn't noticed it before - we panicked for about a month whilst she went for various tests - turned out to be a strain from carrying school bags!

It probably won't be anything for you to worry about but you will worry until you have been to have it checked out - go first thing in the morning and get a doctor to see you to put your mind at rest

You aren't going to stop worrying until you go - ask for a female doctor

It might even be just a spot you know!

Whatever you think - your mum would be the best one to talk to - can't you give her a go!

Good luck anyway x

Probably a microchip has shifted/migrated. happened on my dog.

If you wont see a doctor how will you find out what it is? it is sad that you are not able to speak to your parents about this im sure they would help you, have you got a friend or an auntie you could talk to? its probably nothing to worry about but you should have a chat to someone to put your mind at rest, Good luck

it could be that your breasts are still developing and thats why you have the odd lumb and bump, but it could also be a cist that you need to get seen by your doctor.
its important get it looked at now!
good luck
x
