Spotting with BC?!
Question: I have been taking bc for almost a year, have never had spotting. I started a new pack on Sunday morning, it had stopped by Sunday night completely. I had no colored discharge or spotting on Monday. Tuesday and today(Wednesday) I have had what started Tuesday morning as dark brown discharge, went to brownish-pink and is now defiantly red blood discharge. It it not so bad I feel the need to use a tampon however is leaving stains on my panties. I have mild pain when I wipe. I am wondering if i am just having a longer period or if something is wrong. I did have sex on Sunday and Monday, but I did use condoms both times and don't think I have any reason to think i am pregnant. I have not called a dr yet b/c I live in a small rural community and our dr just left so I am currently looking for a new one as the office only has nurses right now.
Thank You, :-)

This kind of spotting on the pill can occur because the body can get immune to the medication, or it may no longer be able to handle the amount of hormones in that brand of birth control pill (have had this happen to me before).
