I worked for a medical company for 4 years and I can tell you, that if you take it at random times during the day it CAN prohibit the pill from working correctly. You should take it in the morning, or before you go to sleep, but keep a normal pattern going.

ALSO, DO NOT start having unprotected sex until you FINISH your FIRST PACK. Common misconception people have is once they take the first pill they are covered but it's not true. Finish your first pack, weather it's for three months, or one month, FINISH IT FIRST.

Until you have finished your first cycle use condoms, otherwise you WILL get pregnant no doubt. It takes a cycle for your body to get used to the pill and for the pill to take effect and do its thing.

I think you have a little flexibility. The main thing is to establish a habit. Part of the breakfast routine or bedtime routine, as long as it's daily, you should be fine.

they told me the same time each day i took it the morn but then i always felt sick so then i started taking it at nite

The last 5 days of your pill box are the most crucial. I have done that where I take them different times of the day and the pill was still very effective for me. But don't go by me. IF you are concerned just use a condom back up just in case. But the last few days of the pill cycle, take same time for sure!!

you should be fine, but it's better to take it at the same time bc your body is on a cycle and relies on that consistency. all you have to do is keep the pills next to your alarm clock so u remember to take in the morning when u get up. or you can keep them next to the sink in your bathroom. if u would rather take them at night, keeping them next to your bed on the night stand will also work...hope this helps ;)

If its the mini pill you need to take it at the same time each day in order for it to be effective. A mini pill is one that only contains a small dosage of a certain hormone. You should always make it a habit to try to be consistent with taking at the same time everyday, that way you never miss a pill. If its only your 3rd pill I am sure you will be fine, just dont make it a habit of taking it at different times.

you have to take it at the same time every day. if you dont, yes you risk pregnancy, but you could also have spotting/bleeding at the wrong time of the month if you don't take it at the correct time. just to be safe, you should continue to use other birth control (condoms, sponges etc.) until you've been on the pill for at least a month. it is very important to take it at the same time every day. did u also make sure you took it at the correct time of the month (according to the directions)?

To be fully protected, it's best to take the pill at approximately the same time each day, but taking it is way better than not taking it at all. You are still protected to some extent, but the pill will not work at its optimum level. Best idea? Set aside a time when you are in the same place every day (ie brushing your teeth in the morning, getting a cup of coffee in the kitchen) and keep your pills in the same place and associate this time with taking your pill. Worked for me and I'm terrible about taking pills!

You have about 3 hours leway time to take it everyday. So say you take it before bed take it between 7-10. But you are not protected untill you take it for about 21 days so use protection for a while. Be safe and good luck!
