How is a breast surgery perform to drain ducts in a case of mastitis?!

Question: I heard you undergo general anesthesia, but I'd like to know where is the incision made and how is the recovery if you want to keep breastfeeding? Do you temporarily formula-feed the baby?
If anyone have gone through surgery because a breast infection, I will appreciate any info. The web does not give much insight. Thanks.

Pamela....... sometimes an incision is made and tube inserted to drain of the area by the nipple or aureoles. If that is spelled right, so that the scar will be minimal. But if the mastitis is in deeper it may be some where on the breast where the incision will allow easier access. The recovery time can take a while it's all according to how your body reacts to the surgery and antibiotics. Good Luck dear i will keep you in prayer. That can be a powerful weapon believe it or not!

Mastitis not normally dealt with surgically. Tablets given
