Starvation Symptoms?!
Question: I was wondering what kinds of effects starvation can have on a body? I gave birth 5 weeks ago and I really have not been eating much since. The first week I ate a litte (maybe 800 calories a day). Now I am down to under 300 calories a day. I have been really nauseas from some blood pressure problems I am having. The doctor has had me on bedrest for 3 weeks because of this. So I just don't eat because I feel horrible. Now I have been getting serious pains in my Stomach. Its this pain that hurts right under my ribcage and into my back. The doctors can't figure out the pain. I just didn't know if it was from not eating. I have lost around 50 pounds in 5 weeks.

yeah , the doctor didn't notice that. Your depriving your body of nutrients that it needs to survive on and your gonna loose muscle tone and that's something you cant get back.
yeah, that pain sounds like hunger to me. i used to starve myself. i was a very foolish child. also you feel weak and it's really hard to concentrate. and you get that tummy grumble sound.

I don't know what you are doing to yourself, but if you are breast feeding you are also starving your infant. Maybe you should give it to some one who will feed it.
And I also think this isn't the whole story.
I don't want to sound mean but are you sure you aren't starving yourself to loose the baby weight? Regardless of the reason, the effect it will have on your body is eventual death and many other serious side effects leading up to it. Also, there could be many serious problems that cause you to loose that much weight in that length of time. You really need to see a doctor ASAP !
