Question: When you start your period does it mean your sexualy active???
Here is the story
Ok well I started my period the same year as my older sis(she is only 2 yrs older) and she told me that I started my period too early and that means I'm sexualy active but I dont believe that cause I learned that girls start their periods at ages 10-16 so I was wondering who was right soo yea and if helps I started my period at 10......I know young age -_-

ok so as i was doing my research paper on obesity i was reading a bunch of books.
anyway girls that start their period means that they are between 20-23% body fat. thats why when some girls that are very active have like no body fat and don't start till like 16. and some girls that have an irregular period they can't stay between the percentage of body fat. thats all that it means. not because your sexually active..

Absolutely not! Your sister is incorrect. Menstruating is NOT an indication of sexual activity. Your period is a natural process of developing into a women. All women menstruate regardless of their sexual activity.
hahah ur sister is either joking with you or...well...very stupid. Getting your period has NOTHING to do with being sexually active. dont u have health class??? Getting your period is juts going through puberty and becoming a woman. Nuns dont have sex, but it doesnt mean their not women!
you are probably right....girls can start their period at 10-16. You are a bit early but not by that much. It depends upon how mature you are so like if you are really mature and handle things well in real life, then you probably started at just the appropriate time for you. :) hope that helps!!!
Congratulations! I'm 12 and I started my period one month before my 12th birthday. It doesn't mean you're sexually active! Girls have their periods whenever. There isn't a straight answer as to when you're going to get your period! Girls can have their period from 8 to 16 years old. You're just an early bloomer, that's all and it's nothing to worry about, except those tampons. Ughhhh!! I'm so scared of those things, you have no idea! Well good luck with the panty liners though! They can get really annoying during your first period, but you eventually get use to them.
