Small vagina?!

Question: ok my problem is that i cant use tampons to save my life! the stupid hymen or whatever just wont budge. i was wondering if having sex would be a solution to that? i am 17 and even 12 year olds use tampons. there MUST be something wrong. i wanna use them cause i hate disgusting diaper stinky pads. what should i do?

ps. i am NOT saying that i will go out and do that i just wanna know if that would be a solution.

I have had a couple friends with this problem. One is 23 years old and a virgin, simply because sex has always been too painful when she attempted it.

It sounds like you may just have an extra thick hymen. Not uncommon at all. It's something that affects a lot of girls. You don't have to be embarrassed or think "It will fix itself on its own". If you go to an OB-GYN, they can give you a local anesthetic and surgically cut it for you. You may have some minor discomfort (obviously) for a couple days but the vagina is quite resilient! You'll feel fit as a fiddle and ready to go in no time. :)

Good luck!

definately not a solution, you can break your hymen with your finger....it wont get you prego or an STD!

Sometimes.. the Hymen can not be broken just by sex alone.. When the Hymen can't be broken.. you got to your gyno.. and they break it for you in the office...quick, and easy

I would not recommend to you to have sexual intercourse to break your hymen (you can go to a GYN and have it done surgically with anasthesia if you so wish). the hymen has nothing to do with the size of your vagina either, all women have different anatomy.

Get a toy and stretch it and pop it. Get a pre paid card at the store with some cash and go on the internet and find one.

why don't you try going to a ob gyn and find out from them what you can do. you're old enough anyway, you might as well. he/she can tell you what you can do (safe things) or maybe they could just help you in the office?

good luck!

Just try to relax. Use the smallest tampon you can find. Tampax makes a junior absorbancy. Try that. If you cant get a tampon in, then it would hurt more to have sex for the first time, if your hymen totally covers your vagina. Some women can be born without a hymen at all, and some can be born with the hymen almost totally blocking the vagina opening. If that is the case, them you should see n OBGYN. I have heard about a condition, i don't know what it is called, but it makes it impossible for a woman to use a tampon or have sex. It is correctable with a simple surgical procedure.
Dont brake it while having sex. the best way is to see an obgyn.

I KNOW!
When i was little i used to smash cars with bricks you can do the same to your hymen

You are 17...go to the dr get a pap smear...They will break the hymen for you.

I also think that their are slim tampons out there.

platex slim fits...Check that out.

Yes go to a female doctor and they will fix the problem for you!

This site is very helpful. Maybe you are using the wrong tampon for you. Check it out:

Good luck!

i am 30 years old have had 3 children naturally and can still NOT wear a tampon the only one i can even barely tolerate is the ob teen one - they dont fit and give me cramps, i have sex with my husband and he has a fairly large member so i do not think having sex would help you......some of us just cant wear tampons - i use the always ultrasthin pads they are so thin that you can barely tell you are wearing it.....

The proceedure with the OBGYN isn't very painful. Its just a little pop and it hurts a little for a few min but goes away fast. It would be less painful than trying to have sex first.

I would go to the ob/gyn i am sure they would know what to do.
