They are veins and it could mean nothing but they do become more pronounced during pregnancy. Mine do every period so it could mean nothing. Was your period normal? It sounds like you had sex during your period when its possible but not as likely to get pregnant. Wait a week or two and if it doesn't go away go get a test.
