I got my period early, and I NEVER get my period early. Something wrong?!

Question: I have had my period since I was 11, (I'm almost 19 now), and my period has never once skipped, been late, or been early, but today I woke up to find that I have gotten my period 1 week early. When I usually get my period I have cramps so bad that I throw up and am in pain, but this time I don't have that so I'm concered that its not really my period. I take been taking the same bc pills for the last 2 years and have never once missed taking one, so its not that. There is also no possiblilty that I could be pregnant or have an std or anything like that, but I am just wondering why my incredibly predictable period is all of a sudden early?

Your period can be influenced by things like stress and nutrition. It is important to take your bcp at the same time each day, plus or minus an hour. There is also a very slim possibility that your bcp can be made less effective if you are taking an antibiotic. If you are concerned please talk to your doctor or someone at a Planned Parenthood clinic in your area.

Perfectly normal. Now if you were in severe pain and sick, then it could be a miscarrage, but it doesn't sound like that. It is 10X worse than normal cramps.

its almost impossible not to get your period late or early at least once

if you are living with a girl or having been with girls for a long time, like you are roommates flatmates, there's also this tendency of affecting each other's period schedule. either you were influenced by the hormones secreted by her body making your body dictate the same mens schedule like her. it happened to me and my roommates in college and in my grad school, and with my bestfriend at work.

also, there is also that u change from the regular 28 day cycle to 26 day cycle, thus shortening it by two days, you get menses two or three days earlier.

depending on the amount also, if you have the regular volume of blood you see in your previous mens then there's nothing to worry about.

But if the amount is little and brown sometimes pink in color then that could be pregnancy spotting/ or implantation bleeding. plus of course if you other symptoms like nausea, vomitting, then could be spotting.

OK. think its just hormones that affected your early period. as long as you dont have pain and all no need to worry.

it happens sometimes. i usually get mine on time until my last cycle. it's better than getting a late period. that's when you get really bad cramps.
