try using a mirror... just hold it down between your legs to find it
and no dont worry girl this is womens health, its not inappropriate.
and RELAXX before you use one. if you tense at all or nervous or stressed, then it will be really hard to get one in comfortably.
maybe try using lubricant too? idk, it might make it slide in the hole easier.
dont go too fast either, make sure your in a comfortable position, and slowly ease the tampon up, untill your touching yourself. make sure your at an angle too, if you just put the tampon in straight, it will hurt!
once its in, you shouldnt be able to feel it.
good luck!

Maybe; i know it sounds gross but stand over a little mirror and look for the hole. Perhaps ask your mother?

what you need to do is relax and then it will go up there just take deep breaths and read the instruction that come with the box YOU CAN DO IT

put vasaline on the tip
and slide it up slowly
it took me like 10 tries before i used vasaline
but yeah it really really works

Don't worry about asking questions like this. This is what Yahoo Answers is all about! Lol

Well for one thing, don't flush tampons. No matter what the box says they don't dissolve and theyll clog your ceptic system. Wrap em in a tissue and throw em out.

Ok. There is a possibility that your vagina is too small for tampons, and if thats the case you need to see a doctor. But that's very rare. You most likely are not doing it right. Try squatting to open the hole more. You also need to RELAX. If you are worried about putting a tampon in then your muscles tighten and you will never get it in. It's no big deal, so relax your muscles and slide the tampon in at a 45 degree angle.

If you can't find the hole, put a mirror on the ground and squat over it. You may be like "oh my god it looks so gross" but it helps a lot.

Once you get the hang of them, tampons are AMAZING. i hate pads too, lol. Don't be scared and keep practicing! Hope I helped

Just try to stay as relaxed as you can. I use OB tampons which are easy to put in for me. OB also makes tampons called "silk ease" which have a siky layer on the outside which helps them slide in. I tried them about two years ago when I started getting my period and they were definitely easier for me.

Sometimes the tampon can feel weird in there because it's not far enough back. Just take some deep breaths relax (some women find putting their foot up on the toilet and one on the floor helps them) and try.

Seriously? Mkay, so try getting a bigger one first off, or use a pad and a tampon. Also, try squatting down some, makes it a little more comfortable. You should change your tampon every couple of hours. And I don't advise sleeping with a tampon.

You need to use your hand and find it with your fingure. you can also get a hand held mirror, straddle it. I had trouble when i first started using tampons(had no choice, i was on the swim team). But with me it was hard because my outer labia are very plump and almost completely cover the vagina. But i learned that and if i spread the labia the tampon went un with no problems. Make sure you insert it far enough in, thats the only time it has ever hurt. There are no nerve endings in the top half of your vagina.

that is a compleatley appropreit quiestion:) wiggly your finger around the aerea and push doun lightly when you think youve found it.if it goes in then use your other hand to insert it:)
