Don't get me wrong - I sometimes feel sorry for whoever it is.....I just don't get emotional over things I read, and please, let's all remember that this is the internet.

yes, it's called empathy.
of course we do were mothers!! anyone who dosent feel when a child dies even a million miles away isnt somone id want to be around. its a natural human reaction to hear something terrible and automaticly replay it in our minds as if it was us and then were greatful it wasnt. there is nothing wrong with realyizing how blessed we are and feeling for the less fortunate. it makes us better people.
Yes, it's sad. One time I read on a tombstone that a 1 year old died in a car accident.
Yeah. I tend to have really strong empathy... I'm not even a mother! I hate that, a lot of times it makes me well up with tears. It's perfectly normal to feel empathy for others situations, it's humanity...
Yes. I force myself to STOP and think about the baby. Its just involuntary. I just force myself to stop what I'm doing and think about what i'm reading. It is sooooooo sad =(
