I also work with lots of acids for peels etc. I was wondering if i will have to look for a different job? Or not work at all I know that with clomid there is a higher chance for multiples will this also dertermin what kind of work I can do? JUst some advice

When you start getting full term it is better if you keep your feet up and don't strain. You should be okay if you stay fit and have your doc monitor your health. If you have a high chance for multiples and actually are carrying (when you get preggers) twins, then PLEASE listen to your body and sit down and even lay down when things feel strained down there.

i'd go in the direction that shows which is more important.

Most likely you will. I couldn't even have a normal facial in pregnancy because some of the scents are not safe. And lifting anything more than 25 lbs is a no no. Talk to the DR who is treating you. If he is a good DR he will be able to answer all of those questions for you.

I would not quit. If your company offers short term disability then you can get that when your doctor says you can no longer work.

The other option is to pick up some supplemental insurance like Aflac or Colonial Penn (read very carefully). Then when you can't work call the insurance company and have them pay you. You should be able to get 50% - 60% of your normal pay while on disability.

I'm a guy, but I know that strenuous activity is very harmful to the health of a baby in its womb. You may not have to QUIT your job, maybe just ask them for a lay off or something, and i'm sure they'll understand that you can't put that type of danger on the line. Any type of strenuous activity when you are pregnant is very dangerous.

I know plenty of aestheticians that have been pregnant andh ave no reason to quit their job. Why during a massage do you have to lift people up? They can't move themselves? I dont get it LOL

And I know what you do since my previous job I was a manager of a Salon and Spa. But the lifting part I dont get...

Try asking this in the Pregnancy section =) Other than that- if you are around the chemicals all day- don't you think they are safe for your unborn child? In otherwords- if you dont think they would be safe to be around during pregnancy- why would you want to expose yourself to them daily? Perhaps this is why you are still TTC? I think further down the road of pregnancy you get very uncomfy and no matter what job you are at you will feel awful! There comes a point where it's just not comfortable to do anything- including sitting or laying down! I think the facials part is ok- it's the lifting people. Are you only lifting their heads- it's fine- but during pregnancy you should not lift more than 15-20lbs. The best advice is to limit the physical work and stress at work while pregnant! This will make your pregnancy easier and more enjoyable and you will have less risks!

Also check with the FMLA- family medical leave act- as long as you've been employed with your company for over a year and they have more than 50 employees- they have to offer you paid leave- if your dr says you cannot perform your job during pregnancy- they either have to do this- or find you an equivalent job with the company with the same pay and benefits- just doing different work (ie answering phones and booking appointments..)

Wearing the proper protective garments in your workplace should solve one of your problems.
As for the physical stress, if you lift weight properly, it will not harm you.
I have a friend who trains young horses, that's her job. She rides 6 to 8 horses daily. She went through childbearing and never stopped riding until about 2 1/2 weeks before delivering her child. She and baby are fine.
