Answers: what are some symptoms of TSS and how do you get it?

Toxic Shock Syndrome is from using tampons. It can cause dizziness, nausea, fainting, sweating, shaking, vomiting, syncope, rapid heart rate, pain in the vaginal area. Some people can get it the first time they use the tampons...but it isn't that common. Read the insert inside a box of tampons and it will explain it all to you.

It's an infection caused by staph and strep bacteria. It can enter through basically any thin tissue or opening in the skin. Tampons pretty much get the bad rap for it, but that's been more or less disproved in recent years.

Symptoms include high fever, dizzy spells, and gi. If you get it you'll be really sick really fast.

Toxic shock syndrome (TSS) is a serious but uncommon bacterial infection. TSS was originally linked to the use of tampons, but it is now also known to be associated with the contraceptive sponge and diaphragm birth control methods. In rare cases, TSS has resulted from wounds or surgery incisions where bacteria have been able to enter the body and cause the infection.

The symptoms of TSS include sudden high fever, a faint feeling, watery diarrhea, headache, and muscle aches. If you have any of these symptoms, it's important to call your doctor right away.

There are steps you can take to prevent TSS. Hand washing can play an important role in guarding against TSS.

If you think that you have TSS or once you realize that something is wrong, it's important to get medical attention right away. The sooner you get treatment, the quicker the recovery will be.

Good luck :)
