Can u have sex during your period?!

Question: Technically you can have sex during your period. The only concerns I would have is the safety. You are more likely to transmit an STD during this time, because there is blood exposed. I'm also concerned about your age. You said in another post you have only menstrauted for a year. It's too soon to have sex. I know that sounds conservative, but your body isn't ready. I mean technically it is, but it's not really. I say this because if you get pregnant, a few things may happen. First your child will be underweight and may have medical issues. Your hips wont even be wide enough, and that will probably result in a c-section, ouch. There is even a 50-60% chance you could mess something up reproductively and not be able to concieve later if you get pregnant now. This is true for having a kid this early, having an abortion early, or even a misscarriage this early. Your body is still growing. It's a dangerous risk to take.

Back to your question about a period. Yes it can be ok. It will be messy though. You'll probably want plastic bags under you, not just towels. Think about creating blood stains on sheets or towels.

Some guys don't like it. Some guys are ok with it. I was always ok with it, but I was in a committed relationship. If the guy doesn't like it, he may not stay with you, because of it. Some guys just can't stand the sight of blood. They're real wimps.

On a positive note, since I have been so negative, it can reduce cramps. It's basically an internal massage of the area that is cramping. Of course there are much safer ways to reduce cramps. So I don't recommend this to every woman looking for a quick fix to cramp reduction.

Some other ways to reduce cramps

-Take 5 Omega 3 Fatty Acid Fish Oil pills
- Do Kegel Exercises
- Use a heating pad on your uterus
- Take B12, B6 and folic acid. A complete B suppliment usually as these.
- Take Magnisium and calcium
- Avoid foods you have cravings for such as chocolate, caffine and salty foods. These cause bloating and water retention. They also spike your blood pressure and will make cramps worse.
- Drink water
- Exercise or at least stretch
- Get sunshine. It has vitamine D and is good for you.
- Think positively and be happy. Seriously, it helps.
- Take Vitimine E for breast tenderness
- Take ibuprofen before your period to reduce cramps
- If your cramps are really bad a progesterone suppository can be prescribed by your doctor. This will fix them quickly. It can interfere with the pill though.
- Some birth control pills can help, while others make it worse. Talk to your doctor to learn more.

Because of your young age, please don't have sex yet. It's just not worth the risks right now. I wouldn't be responsible, if I didn't say that.

Best of luck. :-)

that's up to you if ur going to i would advise u to use protection and a towel to protect ur sheets

Yes you can have sex during your period although you might want to put towels down because i could be quite messy.
(stain your sheets)

You can but I wouldn't recomend it when you have a heavy flow. Besides, most men probably won't be to into it when you are on your period. :)

You sure can if the point of your question is to ask if you and your partner can enjoy it. If you're looking to avoid pregnancy, then the answer is given in the first response, which is you need to use protection because you can ovulate at almost anytime in your cycle and could end up with an embryo right after your bleeding stops.
