What shall I do about mood swings on the birth control pill?!

Question: I was on my old one (Microgynon 30) for 3 months, I was a bit more angry and emotional the first 2 months, but the last month I was hurting my family, and crying for hours a day. I've been on Loestrin 20 for a week now, the week I had off from all pills, and the beginning of this week I felt so good, happy and calm. But the past few days I've been feeling slightly like I did before, more emotional and easily angered. I've always been a bit like that though, but the main thing is that when I was on Microgynon I wanted to talk and talk and talk about my "problems", which I don't really have, and I'm feeling like that again, what shall I do?
I've heard Loestrin 20 is one of the weakest birth control pills, I don't want to stop on the pill, because I'm not on it for sex, my doctor said I'm probably really sensitive to the estrogen. Finally, I know you have to finish the full pack so you dont mess up your cycle, and my pack finishes 22nd march, and if I'm going to go doctor, it has to be..

I feel for you girl. I have the same trouble with a really long and heavy period. Feel like you are pms-ing forever, or all but a week per month. My doctor said it would take 6 months for Marvalon, what he gave me, to adjust my body's cycle. It has been 4 and it is improving. If your period has to adjust, so must your hormones. Have you tried Mydol for the bad days? Maybe vitamin B6 might help.

I had to stop taking the pill. I took it for about 6 years and didn't realize how miserable it was making me until I stopped. Talk to your doctor about other options. Have you considered the Nuva Ring? My doctor said it might work better for me than the pill (I'm not taking it, but know others who have and really liked it). Don't stay miserable, it's not worth it.

Wow this sounds exactly like myself!
Im on loestrin 20, and recently i have been so emotional over anything and nothing, and i feel like i could snap at any minute over something so little and pathetic.
Anyway, enough about me, if i was you i would go off the pill, if your not on it for contraception then im sure you would feel much better off it.
Besides 22nd march isnt long away:)
and you will once again be happy!
Kind regards, hope ive helped

Girl if I were u I would get off the pills and get the patch or a different brand of birth control to help u regulate ur period.

The less stress and drama around you the better off you will be with a regualted period!
