Have you ever heard of a menstrual cup?!
Question: My friend and I went into Target to buy my grandmas a calendar when we came across "The Menstrual Cup." They are really large and look quite uncomfortable. Have you ever used one? If so what do you think?

Yes, I have. I have never tried one but they are quite large looking. I heard that you can use them for "clean sex" if you can't wait 5-7days to have sex.
I've heard of them and even known people who've used them. They do look a little big but I've used a diaphragm before and its the same idea. It's a bit uncomfortable and awkward to learn how to put it in the first few times, but after a few days of practice its the easiest thing in the world and you don't even feel it. I suspect that the Menstrual Cup would be similar.
I've never heard of it.
I've heard about these for years and have been considering going to them instead of tampons/pads. I like the idea that they are non-polluting since you simply rinse them out and reuse them. There is no risk for toxic shock syndrome (which to me isn't even a risk at all hardly for tampons considering how rare it is). But I do like the idea that it is not wasteful. I am trying to go more green and am very interested in ideas like this menstrual cup and organic tampons/pads (they're not bleached cotton like the ones you buy in the store). But to answer your question, I doubt the menstrual cup would be more uncomfortable than a tampon though. I imagine you would get used to it after a while and not even notice just like you do with tampons.
