Tampon help! Girls only!!!!!?!
Question: Ok so it is my first time using tampons and I am 12 in 7 days. I don't really want to, but my mom is making me. I understand the instructions and everything, but I cant seem to find the hole or whatever you call it. I can put it in, but then it falls out so I don't think it's in at all. I am going to a swimming party soon so I need to know. Thanks everyone!

Tampons can definatly be tricky until you get the hang of them.
From experience, tampons with applicators are easier to use. And a little more fool proof.
Make sure you are using a light tampon... not a super. Since you are so young a super would be VERY overwhelming to you.
I prefer tampons with a plastic applicator.... I find they glide much easier. I actually prefer Playtex... the tampon expands like a flower and doesn't get longer. So you don't feel it after any period of time.
So just relax.... take a deep breath before you do it.
I like to sit on the toilet when I put them in... others like to stand with one leg up on the toilet.
Push it in until you can't push it anymore. Not so hard that it hurts.. just until you get resistance.
Then do your thing.
Don't worry... you'll get the hang of it so quickly and realize how much better tampons are over pads in no time!!

ur mum shdnt force u! its up to u in the end, as its ur body, if u dnt feel comfortable using tampons, stick with pads, but if u want to wear tampons, then hear is a site that tells u all about periods and tampons and growing up www.beinggirl.com hope it helps :)
well first its your choice.
and it falls out becasue itss too big or its not all the way up to where it cant fall out.
put one leg on toilet or something and pull the fold of skin around your virgina away from virgina so you can insert it in.
your ''hole'' may be tiny but its normal.

Just relax...youve got the right hole, im sure...but you hafta push hard, (so it seems, the first time)...it shouldn't hurt...it may be a little uncomfortable, but you just gotta push and make sure its at the right angle...if it hurts, then you hafta shift it at another angle...it took me a year to finally get tampons...and if this is your first time and you are only 12...it wouldm't hurt to wait
