Do you routinely check for breast cancer?!

Question: If you didn't know, the best time to check is one week after your period. You should get a mammogram once a year but perform self-examinations monthly. Correct me if I'm mistaken..

I do check regularly. I also have my doctor baffled that I go in for a pap once a year (I'm only 20). My mother died from cancer 5 years ago, so as you can imagine, I'm a bit paranoid about it. Better safe than sorry though! I'll take 10 minutes of embarassment over years of pain anytime. =)

I am only 13, so I don't need to check, but you are right.
