Ladies Help Please?!

Question: I have had my peirod, for about half a year, I still can not use a tampon. Why do they hurt so much to put in? all my friends use that over pads. And does, it hurt like that everytime?

well hun, you might be doin it wrong
i had that problem, lol
but you have to put it in at an angle pointing back , never straight in
and make sure you start with the one with the least absorbancy, or the smallest ones
one you have some practice, it doesnt hurt all all
hope i helped at least a little :)

good luck <333

nope i use em' ALL the time coz ur obviously not sexualyl active after the 1st few times it dont hurt, as long as u enter em' correctly.

If you've had no experience of penetration of anything to your vagina, it will hurt the first few times. It should go away with patience.

More than likely because your vaginal opening is not big enough to insert the tampon confortably. Maybe you might want to try again after you have a or a few sexual experiences. That will help open the hole up. (But only when your ready if you havent yet!)

If you are a virgin, it can hurt more as your hymen isn't broken, and the vaginal muscles aren't stretched out. Also, you have to make sure you are using the smallest size possible. You could just have a smaller body than them. But no, it won't hurt like that every time. Once you stretch out it won't hurt, provided the tampon is being put in right.

Honestly, tampons aren't good for you, so you're better off using pads anyway. You can get toxic shock syndrome from tampons, and little bits of cotton can break off and remain in your vagina. This can cause many problems including bacterial infections.

like the others have said, it gets better over time. also, its better to use it when its heavier so its not as dry (because as you get used to it, it will hurt if its a little too dry)

Try and start with the small ones. Use them when you are bleeding heavy that way it shouldn't hurt so much when you put them in. If not try putting KY jelly on the tampon the first couple of times. After that it might stretch the walls and make it more comfortable for you.

well it depends what kind of tampons you are trying to use....my mom bought me a kind wthout a aplicator once and it was very hard for me to put in because you have to put it way up there...so i suggest using ones with a applicator, i perfer the plastic kind because their alot smoother...just read the information in the box if you dont know how to use one...i like tampons so much better, pads feel to uncomfy and btw when the tampons in you arent supposed to feel it at all, so if you do you should take it out and try to put one in again

im a virgin still and once i tried the aplicator kind it didnt really hurt for me...so give it a try =]

im 18 and a virgin and i still use pads.
ive tried tampons and ive felt it inside me and it was just bothersome.

pads dont bother me at all.
and i dont have to worry about it as much.

dont worry about what ur friends are doing.

do whats best for you.

I don't think it stops hurting... sry
